Renovation is a major project, more so than refurbishment, which still involves a lot of work but not usually the structural repair and replacement that is needed when renovating a building. Often renovations are abandoned premises that have gradually succumbed to the weather, have leaking roofs, crumbling walls and failing foundations. Left to their own devices, renovation projects would eventually tumble down and need a complete re-build, so we hope to be able to start work before that stage is reached.
